We're less than a month away from the first day of spring. With each new season comes a whole new wave of events and fun activities to dress up for. Whether it's weddings, galas, dinners, vacations, or holiday celebrations, the opportunity to arrive looking your best is all around. Fashion designer Tom Ford once said:
I agree and think dressing up is also a form of self respect. I love to see when people take good care of themselves, and put effort into looking presentable and sharp. It changes people's attitude and respect towards you as well.

Another way to freshen your look for spring events is with makeup, especially if it can be worn day or night. Using plum and berry colors that are hushed brings a freshness to the face that is perfect for that transition into spring.
A new trend in makeup this season is a highlighting technique known as 'strobing'. The goal with strobing is to highlight the cheekbones, eyes, nose and cupid's bow without countering it with a darker color as with contouring. This approach makes for a youthful, dewy effect that is really fresh for spring.
